What role will technology play in classes that I teach in the future?

Future classes will be paperless and will extend beyond the walls of the school building.  They will be collaborative using appropriate guests from around the world.  Students will submit assignments electronically and will interact with their teacher all day as appropriate.  It will be interesting to see what happens to substitute teaching.  There is little doubt that it will be eliminated as we know it today because teachers who are ill or otherwise indisposed will be able to conduct classes from home and/or from mobile devices.  Students at Portage High School may now bring their technology (cell phones) to class.  So, we are on the way.
